Maja Modrinjak

Author of exhibition about herself:

“I was born on 8th of April 1984 in Maribor. I finished high school for design and photography and then graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, at the Department of Media Communications, majoring at RTV Productions. I then attended a technical school for photography in Sežana, I obtained the title of engineer picture there.

I come from a family where both parents had a special attitude towards the message and aesthetic aspects of art.

I have learned about photography from a very young age, because of my father, who is a well known photographer in Maribor. He was my first teacher, my mentor and my role model. I wish to follow his footsteps and also look for my own lessons.

I am interested in various motives and directions of photography, from authorial – art, reportage photography, sensational…. I also do commercial photography and video.

I had a few joined and solo exhibitions in Maribor and elsewhere.

I work as a TV camerawoman, a job where I got lots of experience and particular knowledge. I mostly work with visual communications in different art environments”.
